Fog Hampers Middlesbrough - Newcastle Match

Two of the northeast’s most bitter rivals fought to a 0-0 draw today in a match plagued by fog. There was no real quality in this match as Newcastle were clearly happy with a draw and Middlesbrough never looked like finding the back of the net.
The only real chance of the match came through Obafemi Martins. The pacy Nigerian striker hit the crossbar on 35 mintues. Sanli Tuncay gave the home fans something to cheer about as he put on a masterclass of footwork in the first half. Afonso Alves …

Sunderland Thrashed 4-1 by Bolton

Roy Keane’s Black Cats side slipped further down the table following a 4-1 defeat at the hands of Bolton. The lead was short lived, though, as Matty Taylor got the better of Pascal Chimbonda in the air and equalized for Bolton just six minutes after going behind. Four minutes later Gary Cahill dealt Sunderland another blow as he made it 2-1 for Bolton. Djibril Cisse then put Sunderland back into contention …

Manchester United Sign Tosic

Manchester United have completed the first notable signing ahead of January. Partizan Belgrade winger Zoran Tosic, a twenty-one year old Serbian international, has signed a deal with Manchester United that will bring him to the club on January 1st.
Tosic didn’t immediately get a work permit to play in England as he didn’t have enough caps for Serbia (12 caps). Manchester United, led by Sir Alex Ferguson, appealed this decision and today won the hearing in Sheffield to clinch the signing.
Rumors are now floating about that 19 year old Adem …
