Spurs Could Make Gio Go

While Juande Ramos’ career at White Hart Lane is done and dusted, remains of his legacy can still be spotted. Over the summer, Tottenham wrapped up an exciting £9 million deal for Barcelona’s Giovani Dos Santos. Once viewed as Barca’s successor to Ronaldinho, fans around the league - myself included - were anxious to see the Mexican’s talents.
Gio, however, has failed to impress in the Premier League. Dos Santos is far down in Redknapp’s pecking order and his future remains unclear. Newspapers around England are now reporting that Dos Santos …

First Images of New White Hart Lane

Tottenham have released the first images of their proposed new stadium. Chairman Daniel Levy said: “The brief I gave the architects was to design an iconic stadium that would be one of the best in Europe. “This means designing a stadium which has supporters as close as possible to the field of play and not simply looking to chase headline capacity. Our fans will find themselves …

Football is a funny old game, eh? A highly rated reputable foreign manager has 9 games to get a win, with his own players, own staff and his own methods to aid him, and manages to pick up a mere 2 points. Harry Redknapp on the other hand, has literally less than a day in the job, meets his predecessor’s players hours before kick-off, and turns a no-hope strike partnership into one which flourishes in the first time of asking.

Wasting no time in making him a favorite at White Hart …

Trigger happy Tottenham have axed head coach Juande Ramos, as well as sporting director Damien Comolli and first team coaches Gus Poyet and Marcos Alvarez. And Spurs have been just as quick in finding their new manager as they have been in sacking their current one. Harry Redknapp has stepped down from his Portsmouth post, and the veteran coach, who has previously worked with Tottenham’s London rivals West Ham, will now take the reins at White Hart Lane.
Spurs’ situation looks grim even at this early part of the season, with just two points taken from …

Winners
Stoke City. The newly promoted club gained a momentous first victory in the Premier League. As Aston Villa were coming off of a huge 4-2 win over Manchester City, the club from Birmingham were looking like they’d easily steamroll over Stoke. This was not the case, however, as Mamady Sidibe grabbed a stoppage time winner. This win means that Stoke already have as many wins as Derby County had all season - now let’s see if they can build on it and survive in the world’s best league.
Felipe Scolari and …

North London outfit Tottenham Hotspurs have always been a club on the outside of the top four but looking in. Big money acquisitions in recent years have made Tottenham the fifth best Premier League team on paper, but Spurs fans found out the hard way that games aren’t always played on paper. After an extremely disappointing bottom half finish last season, Tottenham are looking to build on their Carling Cup success from last year and assert themselves as one of the top sides in England.
One key element of Tottenham’s push …
